How to Care for Cashmere
"Cashmere can last a lifetime with the right care. Simple steps to wash, store, and protect your favorite knits."

Cashmere is an investment. With a little care, your cashmere cardigan or sweater can look and feel beautiful for decades. The key is gentle handling and avoiding common mistakes.
We recommend hand-washing in cool water with a mild detergent, then laying the garment flat to dry. Never wring or hang cashmere—it can stretch and lose its shape. Fold and store in a drawer or on a shelf; use cedar or lavender to keep moths at bay.
Pilling is normal on high-quality cashmere and can be gently removed with a cashmere comb. With proper care, pilling will decrease over time as the fabric settles. We'll cover storage tips, travel, and when to consider professional cleaning.
